Step-by-step process for submitting a copyright infringement notice:

Before submitting a formal copyright infringement notice, taking a few minutes to prepare will help ensure your notice is processed as quickly as possible.

To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:

Sending multiple follow-ups will not accelerate the process.

If content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to [email protected] including: your full contact information, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake, consent to jurisdiction, and your signature.

ManhwaX maintains a policy of terminating or restricting access for repeat infringers — users who have had content removed multiple times in response to valid copyright notices.

DMCA notices should only be submitted when the sender genuinely and reasonably believes that the content in question infringes their copyright. The DMCA process is not a tool for removing content that is simply inconvenient, competitive, or disliked — it exists specifically to address genuine intellectual property infringement.

Before submitting a notice, consider whether:

Submitting a DMCA notice that contains false or materially misleading information can expose the sender to legal liability. Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, rights holders who knowingly misrepresent infringement may be held liable for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees incurred by the affected party.
